These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaning Bromley provides carpet, rug, upholstery and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers within our service area. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings given below:

Customer means the individual or business booking the services.

Services means any carpet, rug, upholstery, hard floor, or related cleaning and stain treatment services provided by Carpet Cleaning Bromley.

Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between Carpet Cleaning Bromley and the Customer for the provision of services, incorporating these Terms and Conditions and any written quotation or confirmation provided.

2. Scope of Services

Carpet Cleaning Bromley carries out professional carpet and related cleaning services at residential and commercial premises within our service area. The exact scope of services, including the areas to be cleaned, methods to be used, and any additional treatments, will be confirmed at the time of booking or in a written quotation.

All services are supplied subject to the condition and age of the carpets, rugs, upholstery, or surfaces to be cleaned. While we use reasonable care and professional techniques, we do not guarantee the removal of all stains, odours, or marks, especially where they are permanent, set-in, or caused by substances that permanently damage fibres or dyes.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made by the Customer by contacting Carpet Cleaning Bromley and providing details of the premises, the type of cleaning required, and preferred dates and times.

3.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is accurate and complete, including access details, parking information, and any known issues such as damage, heavy staining, delicate materials, or prior treatments.

3.3 A booking will only be confirmed once Carpet Cleaning Bromley has accepted the request and provided confirmation of the date, time, estimated duration, and price. We may issue this confirmation verbally or in writing.

3.4 Carpet Cleaning Bromley reserves the right to decline any booking request at our discretion, including where the premises are outside our service area, the work requested is unsafe, or access is not reasonably available.

3.5 The Customer must ensure that a responsible adult is present at the premises at the agreed start and finish times, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

4. Access and Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the premises at the agreed time, including access to all areas to be cleaned.

4.2 The Customer must ensure that electricity and, where needed, hot and cold water are available throughout the visit.

4.3 The Customer is responsible for moving small and breakable items, valuables, and personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned prior to the start of the services. Large furniture movement will only be undertaken by Carpet Cleaning Bromley where it is safe and practical to do so and as agreed in advance.

4.4 The Customer must inform Carpet Cleaning Bromley of any existing damage, defects, loose fittings, or fragile materials in the areas to be cleaned, including frayed carpet edges, loose tiles, unstable furniture, or known colour instability.

4.5 If we are unable to carry out the services due to lack of access, safety concerns, or the Customer not being present at the premises, this may be treated as a late cancellation and charges may apply as set out in the cancellation section.

5. Prices and Quotations

5.1 Prices will be communicated to the Customer before a booking is confirmed. Pricing may be based on the size and number of rooms or items, the condition of the surfaces, and the type of service requested.

5.2 Any quotation provided is based on the information supplied by the Customer and is subject to change if the actual condition, size, or nature of the work differs from that described. In such cases, Carpet Cleaning Bromley will discuss any price adjustments with the Customer before proceeding.

5.3 Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in pounds sterling and inclusive of standard cleaning products and equipment supplied by Carpet Cleaning Bromley.

6. Payments

6.1 Payment is due in full upon completion of the services, unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in advance in writing.

6.2 Acceptable methods of payment will be confirmed at the time of booking. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that payment can be made promptly at the required time.

6.3 For certain bookings, including larger commercial jobs or high-value residential work, Carpet Cleaning Bromley may require a deposit to secure the appointment. Any required deposit and its due date will be communicated during the booking process.

6.4 If payment is not received on the due date, Carpet Cleaning Bromley reserves the right to charge reasonable late payment fees and, for commercial Customers, interest on overdue amounts in line with applicable UK legislation.

6.5 Ownership of any consumable materials supplied as part of the services remains with Carpet Cleaning Bromley until payment in full has been received.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show

7.1 The Customer may cancel or request to reschedule an appointment by giving as much notice as possible. The minimum notice period for cancellation or rescheduling without charge will be communicated during the booking process and may vary depending on the size and nature of the job.

7.2 If the Customer cancels or requests to reschedule with less than the agreed minimum notice period, Carpet Cleaning Bromley may charge a late cancellation fee, which may be up to a reasonable percentage of the quoted price to cover costs and lost time.

7.3 If the Customer fails to provide access to the premises at the agreed time, or no responsible adult is present to allow the work to be carried out, this may be treated as a late cancellation and a charge may be applied.

7.4 Carpet Cleaning Bromley reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in the event of staff illness, equipment failure, adverse weather conditions, unsafe conditions at the premises, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will offer the Customer the next available suitable appointment. We will not be liable for any indirect loss arising from such cancellations.

8. Service Standards and Limitations

8.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley will carry out the services with reasonable care and skill, using techniques and products appropriate to the materials being treated and the condition observed at the premises.

8.2 While we will make reasonable efforts to achieve good results, we do not guarantee complete stain or odour removal, colour restoration, or restoration of heavily damaged or worn materials.

8.3 Drying times can vary depending on ventilation, temperature, humidity, and the type of fibres. The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and following any aftercare instructions provided, including keeping children and pets away from treated areas until they are safe and dry.

8.4 Some treatments may carry a risk of minor changes in texture or appearance, especially on older or pre-damaged materials. We will use our professional judgment to minimise these risks but cannot accept liability for pre-existing issues or inherent weaknesses.

9. Customer Complaints and Rectification

9.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, they should raise the issue with Carpet Cleaning Bromley as soon as reasonably possible.

9.2 Where a complaint relates to the quality of cleaning, the Customer must give Carpet Cleaning Bromley a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work and, where appropriate, to re-clean or rectify the affected areas.

9.3 Any request for rectification must normally be made within a reasonable period following completion of the services, taking into account the nature of the work and any aftercare instructions provided.

9.4 Carpet Cleaning Bromley will not be liable for any issues that arise due to the Customer failing to follow aftercare advice or allowing premature use of treated areas.

10. Liability and Damage

10.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley will take reasonable care to avoid damage to the premises and contents while carrying out the services.

10.2 The Customer must inform us of any items of particular value, fragility, or sensitivity in the work area. We reserve the right to refuse to move or clean around items where there is a material risk of damage.

10.3 Our liability for any direct damage to property caused by our negligence will be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, taking into account fair wear and tear and the age and condition of the item.

10.4 Carpet Cleaning Bromley will not be liable for any damage arising from pre-existing defects, wear, fading, loose dyes, shrinkage, or hidden issues that could not reasonably have been identified prior to cleaning.

10.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carpet Cleaning Bromley shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of enjoyment, arising out of or in connection with the services.

10.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Waste Regulations and Environmental Practices

11.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley operates in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations relating to the use, storage, and disposal of cleaning products, wastewater, and any resulting waste materials.

11.2 We will not dispose of hazardous waste, contaminated materials, or bulky waste items removed from the premises as part of the cleaning unless expressly agreed in advance. The Customer remains responsible for arranging lawful disposal of such items where they fall outside the normal scope of domestic or commercial cleaning.

11.3 Wastewater generated during cleaning will be disposed of in accordance with local sewerage rules and reasonable environmental practice. The Customer agrees to allow access to appropriate drainage points where required.

11.4 The Customer must not request or require Carpet Cleaning Bromley to dispose of waste in any unlawful manner. We reserve the right to refuse any request that would breach waste management or environmental regulations.

12. Health and Safety

12.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley follows reasonable health and safety procedures while performing the services, including correct use of equipment and chemicals.

12.2 The Customer must inform us of any specific health concerns, allergies, or sensitivities, particularly relating to cleaning products or fragrances. Where feasible, we may offer alternative products, but this cannot be guaranteed.

12.3 During and after cleaning, floors and other treated surfaces may be damp and slippery. The Customer is responsible for keeping children, pets, and vulnerable persons away from such areas until they are safe to use.

13. Force Majeure

13.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, power failure, accidents, or public transport disruption.

13.2 In such circumstances, we may suspend the services and will contact the Customer to rearrange the appointment as soon as reasonably practicable.

14. Personal Data

14.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley collects and uses personal data such as names, addresses, and service details solely for the purposes of managing bookings, delivering services, and handling payments and queries.

14.2 We will handle personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws and will not sell personal information to third parties.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of the services.

16. Amendments to These Terms

16.1 Carpet Cleaning Bromley may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, industry practice, or our services.

16.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions that applies to your booking will be the version in force at the time your appointment was confirmed.

17. Entire Agreement

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written quotation or booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Carpet Cleaning Bromley and the Customer in relation to the provision of the services.

17.2 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
